The county town of Essex, Chelmsford is a pleasant town in an attractive rural area with many pretty villages. It has good shopping and sports facilities and is very conveniently situated for visits to London as well as to Cambridge, the coast (Southend-on-Sea or Clacton-on-Sea), Colchester and the Constable country.
